Apple's iPad 2 Launch!

SAN FRANCISCO - Apple CEO Steve Jobs briefly emerged from his medical leave and walked on stage to a standing ovation Wednesday to unveil the second generation of iPad. The iPad 2 comes with two cameras and will go on sale March 11 in the U.S.
Jobs looked frail as he appeared in his signature black mock turtleneck, blue jeans and wire-rimmed glasses. "We've been working on this product for a while, and I just didn't want to miss today," Jobs told an audience that included bloggers and Apple enthusiasts. "Thank you for having me." Here's just a small list of new features that one can expect to see when the iPad 2 ships.
* Faster CPU. Built on the new A5 chip built by Apple. The CPU is now 2X faster than its predecessor
* Graphics 9X faster
* Power consumption is the same as that of the iPhone 4.
* Front and rear facing cameras!
* Built in gyroscope!
* It's 1/3 thinner than the iPad (13.4 mm down to 8.8 mm thick)
* Sexy new design is actually thinner than the iPhone 4
* Lighter as well (1.5 lbs. to 1.3 lbs.)
* Comes in white and black; both colors will be available immediately
* iPad 2 supports both Verizon and AT&T
* Same 10 hour battery life
* HDMI out
