Fix iOS 5 Update Error

Fix iOS 5 Update 3200 and 3002 error

Firstly, make sure your iTunes has updated to iOS 5. Then make sure there is no gs.apple.com item in your computer's Hosts file. If there is gs.apple.com, delete it.

Secondly, be sure to download firmware to local. Then use "Recover" function to upgrade. (Remember to backup data: Right click "Backup" on iOS device of iTunes playlist.) Don't use "Check for updates" function. Mac users hold down the option key and click on "Restore" to Select local iOS 5 firmware; Windows users need to hold down the Shift key and click on "restore" to select the local iOS 5 firmware.

Tip: Jailbreaking iOS 5 can bring you more features on iOS 5.

Fix iOS 5 Update 3194 error

If the 3194 error occurs, you still need to make sure there are no gs.apple.com in Hosts file. Then recover iOS device in the DFU mode. To enter DFU mode:

Hold the power and Home buttons for 10 seconds;
Release the power button, but continue to hold down the Home button for 10 seconds;
Hear the voice of the computer recognize the device, if the screen remains blank, you will be right to enter the DFU mode.

Fix iOS 5 Update 3004 error

Internal error, iOS device software update server can not connect or temporary failure, and error 3004, these three cases are because of Apple's servers are too busy or super loaded, what you have to do is to wait a little longer to update again(also need to ensure no gs.apple.com entries in Hosts file).
